Happy Pumpkin Day!

I'd rather celebrate Pumpkins than Gobblins... but some of these amazingly carved pumpkins are pretty scary too.... Hope you have a happy trick or treat no matter what!!!...

We Done Slept!

So the next morning.. after we done slept.... we had a fun time playing ball in our new pj's.... We had gone to Walmart on Saturday after our Train visit and Brayden picked out his own new ball to keep at Grandma's.... honest.. he picked these.. not me... the first one was the Pink... yes Pink.. and the next one was a Purple nerf ball... here he is sitting on them... after all isn't that what they're for???

He loves sitting on the steps and Grandpa
throws the ball back and forth to him

I had wanted to take him to the Park and go slide and swing..
but unfortunately it was drizzling and just too wet outside....
so why fight it? We just went out front to play in the rain...

Did you catch what his shirt says?
University of Awesomeness!

Here he stopped to "get a drink" of rainwater!!!!

Finally it let up a bit so we at least got to walk
down the street to visit the horses..
or as Brayden calls them.... Ponies...

Of course we even stopped to smell the roses.....

OK .. so really just stopped to pick the petals!!!

It was just too short of a weekend.
Miss you my little one!

Sleep Over

Last weekend we had the best time with our little Brayden.... he came down to spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa. David brought him down Saturday morning while Holly was at a teacher's conference. Then that evening they had been invited to a friend's birthday bash so it was a great opportunity for mom and dad to have an evening "out" with their own sleepover!!!

So the first thing Grandpa wanted to do was get Brayden to mow the lawn... well, ok really just wanted to play on the "tractor".... he's getting his first driving lesson ... hummm.... he's taking it pretty seriously... Grandpa was telling him all about steering and how to turn... goodness....

Jerry had "train duty" that day at the Park so he zipped down there
and then before David took off we buzzed down together
to watch Grandpa and perhaps catch a ride...

After the ride we went over to watch from the park...
Brayden kept seeing grandpa go around and around and around!!

Then we headed over to look at the old train cars across the bridge...

Wow those wheels are bigger than Brayden!

Think he liked the train "rocks" more than the trains...

The smiles tell it all... what a fun time!

BYOB party!

Yes I'm having a BYOB party today... Bring Your Own Blocks!!! .... well, what'd ya think it meant???

Since I didn't have a chance to prep for an October Stamp-a-Stack, I still wanted to have an opportunity to hang out with my stampin' buddies and play for the day. So today will have something like a Stamp Camp and just put out all my stamp sets and goodies and let the girls have at it! .... because I don't have enough acrylic blocks to go with the clear stamp sets, thus the request to BYOB!!!!

I'll have some extra DSP papers so they can create (or should I say re-create) some of the gift bags we made at Fall Festival... I also am going to teach them the Triple Layer Technique...

Here's one of the cards I made....

And here's a couple more samples I found just for ideas:

other than that it's anybody's game!!!
