Celebration!

We had  a great celebration for Allen's Birthday and Father's Day yesterday... as promised I took a few pictures to document the occasion....

Most of the day was spent just relaxing and enjoying each other's company. Brayden and I swam in the pool (ok played in the pool), while Jerry BBQ'd the ribs and corn on the cob....

First was Father's Day.... Jerry the "classic" father.... gets a classic treat....

I got a Life jacket with water wings for Brayden to use in the pool....
couldn't resist since it had this darling turtle on it....
also got him a paddling turtle pool toy.. too cute which he loved!

So we hopped in the pool and stayed there pretty much most of the time...
while Jerry BBQ'd ribs and corn on the cob...
very relaxing for everyone

Allen the birthday boy....

With the infamous cake I made for him...
seems it went over pretty well with him!
(notice Brayden patiently waiting and watching the
little pinwheels we use instead of candles on the cake)

.... actually think it went over well with most everyone!!!....

Look at the beautiful Chess Board (table) that Jerry made Allen for his birthday..
Allen's making a ceramic chess set so this will be perfect...

Claire brought some cool sun glasses for Brayden ...
it's so bright when you're near the water so they were perfect....

She's teaching him how to "wear" them on his head too...

This is my annual "father/son" photo...
On David's first Father's Day Brayden was about two weeks old...
so in that picture his hands were sooo tiny!!!
so I decided to start a tradition....
each year taking the "same pose"
Here's David's 3rd Father's Day photo....

Brayden blowing the pinwheel.... talk about easily entertained!!!

Getting ready to head out, we had to pack up some
animal crackers into a baggie for the ride home.....

Say "Cheese".....

Three Generations
(plus animal crackers in Brayden's mouth!!)

Love this picture....

Blowing goodbye kisses...

and here we have cookies AND kisses!!!

even a goodbye kiss for Aunt Janet....

and one last game of peek-a-boo with a very tired out little boy....
I'm sure he feel asleep as soon as they were out of the driveway!

It was fantastic celebrating together with everyone!
