Party Animals!

So the festivities continued all day long...

But before anyone arrived...
Brayden and I had to test out the Bounce House....

my absolute favorite picture:

Imitating Curious George with his Glasses....

I even got inside and took some pics ...
I must admit it was pretty fun!

Our first guest was Daniel and his grandparents Terry & Howard.....
Daniel and Brayden played alot on the tire swing too..
here they are showing Grandfather what they could do....

Brayden patiently waiting his turn....

Brayden's cousin Mattis got into the Bounce House too...
here he is with his mom Charlotta.
Mattis will be 2 next month.. maybe he'll want to have a
Bounce House party too!!!

Little Dave and Jenna, Brayden's best buddies, came too
and had a blast... I tried to get pictures of them going
down the slide.. they're all just too fast for me!

Here's Jenna.. with Dave right behind..

Next came Brayden but I jumped the gun with the camera!

There goes Jenna again!

I think this is little Dave's foot....

Here's Brandy.... Holly's friend since third grade....
came with her new little puppy Ellie....

Here's the boys BBQing... ok so maybe Jerry is doing the grilling and
Don and Allen are doing the talking!

Claire got a few minutes with Brayden to sit and
read the book she brought him....

We sang Happy Birthday and had cake.....
(see pictures from yesterday's blog)
then opened presents...
first from Grandma D

Just what he wanted... bowling ball and pins!
(He picked them out at Toys R Us eons ago and think he forgot about them!)

and a John Deere tractor!!!

He was sure to open each card before the gift....
this one from Daniel (who had to leave before we got to the gifts)

Terry & Howard gave him an awesome monster truck!

Gramdma D made him an incredible gift...

... it's an ABC book especially made for Brayden...
each letter of the alphabet has something to do with him!

It came with matching flash cards so he
could see each picture and learn the letters
why does this not surprise me???...
coming from the awesome expert "teacher"...
the ultimate personalized educational book!

I love this picture of him stopping everything to sit and study it... amazing!
He loves books!

Grandma Gail got him a Nemo swim suit and shirt...
with Lyle the Shark...
what does that tell you ????
Educational book..... or ..... cartoon swimsuit...
hummmm....

The Dezan's gave him some cool water toys...
a Ninja Turtle sprinkler....

a floating ring

and his very favorite.. swimming goggles!

OK they win! .....Hugs all around for everyone!

The very last gift was from Grandpa Jerry.....
of course a hand made wooden gift...
an incredible floor puzzle of the United States...
but all I tot was picture of him opening the bag it came in...
... and then him handing it over to Dad for safe keeping....
it's too precious to lose any pieces....
I'll have to take a picture of it when he has it all assembled!
(Holly let me know when you have it done!)

He finished the session with another round of hugs for everyone
starting with Allen....

... and all the way back toGrandma D!

Of course next was time to get back outside to test out the toys...
bowling was quite the hit!

We then spent a couple hours swimming in the pool
(of which I didn't get a single picture cuz
I somehow was the only adult in the pool with all the kids!!)

Then everyone got a swing or two at the Pinata....

... which was filled with all kinds of little toy prizes...
here's Jenna displaying some lovely green teeth
to go along with her mustache nose glass disguise...

A cute shot of the three of them before the twins had to leave...

Seems we had  several "strangers" hanging around throughout the day.. hummmm....
wonder who these guys are...

After nearly everyone had gone home....
the sun had set and Jerry got the fire pot lit so we sat
around  for some time with David, Holly and Brayden....
listening to the hoot owls talk to each other...
and singing Brayden his last Happy Birthday song of the day!

This pretty much sums it up....
Mr. Brayden Michael Reed....
steals the show... (and my heart!)
memories made we shall not soon forget!

Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
