It mostly was a "community" affair... with booths from lots of local business vendors... hoping we'd sign up for some new aluminum siding or double-pane glass windows... or perhaps visit the local chiropractor or pediatric dentist... but it was fun to see several of the pre-schools out there offering to sign up kids ready to start school.... now that was more Brayden's style... after all, he'll be three at the end of May.
The first booth he sat and made some Play Dough pizza... he said it was pepperoni and candy... at least he practiced his "scissor skills" which of course he has nearly mastered since his mom teaches kindergarten...
We also visited another pre-school booth where he got to thread a beaded bracelet... in hopes to give to mom for Mother's Day... but afterwards he immediately put it on himself instead... notice the concentration on hand-eye coordination... notice the Big Bird "tattoo" on his hand....
Holly and I stopped by a booth with some darling "hats"... they were baseball style with cool personalized "bling" on them... of course the little guy right away spotted Curious George... or at least he thought...
Then the highlight was building a Rainbow Icee from Kona Ice truck...
we sat on the curb to sit and enjoy...
Pretty much after that we meandered around a little more, collected some prizes, like bubbles and pinball games from some of the booths... but then headed back home to kick back... but it didn't take long before Grandpa had some "chores" for Brayden..... first wanted him to picked some oranges off the tree so they could take some home...
Of course it included a taste test..
so Grandpa starts to peel for him...
is he slow or what....
come on Grandpa.. the anticipation is killin' me...
OK here we go...
all that work... and it tastes like... like... like..
an Orange!!!
Honestly they were so sweet and juicy...
and the smell was awesome!!!
OK so now can we play bubbles?????
Almost... first let's mow the lawn....
Get out that tractor!!!
Good job buddy....
OK Finally.. bubble time!
and notice Big Bird tattoo is still with him....
We also read some books, played some kickball,
swang on the porch swing with Grandpa and
tossed the ball into his wagon for points....
but lastly... enjoyed some "delicious" cupcakes..
obviously the frosting is his favorite...
Who could disagree with that????
Love you Mr. Frosting Face!!!!
