Darling Dress for any Mother!

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mom's out there... whether your kids are small and silly or grown and gone... it's your day! And to all those who are blessed to still have their mother's with them... happy day to you too... treasure each moment!

And a very special Mother's Day wish to all the soon-to-be moms and the wanna-be moms... may your hearts overflow with peace and patience...  remember God determines the exact time and place that we all should live... have faith!

Here's a darling card made for any mom... using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Flirtatious DSP and the Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon...

So ya wanna know the secret on how to make this darling dress?

For the top of the dress, use the Round Tab punch and re-punch it with the rounded side of the punch to create the sides of the bodice.

For the skirt, begin with a 4x2 inch piece of DSP. Score at 1 3/4 and 2 1/4 to create the center pleat; then score 1/4 inch out from each of those score lines but at a bit of an angle. Score again 1/2 inch out from those score lines, then at 1/4 once again at a bit of an angle.  Trim sides of dress at an angle. I would suggest work from the center out when scoring, then crease alternately back and forth as you work towards the edge.

I think this would be great if trimmed with a bit of lace or tuille....
and don't forget to trim your heart with peace and patience...
good advice for any mom!
