Train Song in the Park

Last weekend was the annual Train Song Festival at Old Poway Park Midland Railroad Museum. It was a festive day at the Park, with bands and ensembles playing continually in the gazebo the old "train songs" from days gone by!

Holly and Brayden buzzed down for awhile so we got to spend some time with them at the Park between Jerry's working shifts... Brayden had a blast.. and so did we!

Of course the water fountain was the first attraction .... he's very inquisitive and needs to figure out how these things work....

Over in the park area they had tents set up and a music station where the kids to get some hands on time with some instruments.... here Brayden studies the guitar...

And he's playing in the tent... or at least getting out of the sun for awhile...
but he keeps hearing that train whistle....

Finally he sees it coming....

After the train wizzes by then Grandpa says it time for lunch...
off they go across the bridge over to the
Hamburger Factory....
couldn't hardly keep up with Brayden!

Those red little cheeks tells ya how warm it was ...
and now Brayden sits so patiently waiting for his
chicken nuggets!!!

Nothin' like a good lunch with Grandpa

Now that's what I'm talkin' about!
