Singing in the Rain!

So.... to continue to story of our weekend adventures.... you know we had unexpected rain burst on Saturday morning.... well we had just stared our errands.. first at the bank.. went in and it was dry outside... I was chatting with the teller and  Brayden kept tapping my leg saying Grandma Gail Grandma Gail... so I looked down at him and he was pointing towards the door we came in.. only to see the downpour of rain!... Incredible!

So... our plans were quickly altered.... but I was determined... as I really really really wanted to take him to Queen Califa's Magical Circle Mosaic Garden at Kit Carson Park... we had attempted it a couple of months ago and it was closed for cleaning... I knew it was closed this past Winter and Spring for repairs and was to open for Summer.... but unfortunately it was still closed... we were pretty bummed but Brayden took it pretty well...

A least we got to peak through the locked gates... 

so he got a taste of it... see the "snake entrance"....

So because of the rain we just changed "playgrounds"...

actually think Brayden really wasn't too disappointed...

After all, who ca go wrong with a

Happy Meal from McDonald's!!!

After that we headed home for the most

exciting part of the day....

we couldn't wait to go swimming in the rain!

It was awesome right in our own backyard!!!

We had a blast for sure....

thankfully no thunder or lightening...

but by the looks of these "selfies" we took afterwards

someone might think we were hit by lightening....

naw.... just being silly here..

Brayden let me punk up his hair like Grandma Gails

so we were "twins" for the night...

the punked out twins.... think?
