As promised... here's Pat's recipe for her delicious snack she brought to Stamp-a-Stack....
Ooey Gooey Butter Bars ( from Pinterest)
CRUST
1 18.25 oz. package yellow cake mix
1 egg
1 stick butter, melted
FILLING
1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 Stick butter, melted
3 Cups powdered sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Use 9X12 pan
In medium bowl, using electric mixer, combine cake mix, 1 egg, butter and
mix well.
Pat mixture in bottom of pan.
In a large bowl, whip cream cheese until smooth.
Then add eggs, vanilla and butter and beat together.
Add powdered sugar and mix very well.
Spread filling over crust and bake for 45 minutes.
* Please note the
center may come out gooey after baking, but will firm up after cooling.
