August SAS #9 & #10 (and Bonus!)

All good things must come to an end.... and here is the last of my cards to show you... I saved what I thought was the best for last...

Card #9 was soooo much fun to make. I wanted to use the new World Map stamp and my cute little animal babies.... so I combined them both and created this...

I call it The Power Of Two....

Card #10 is last but definitely not least....

I taught the gals how to make a Braided card and gave them the templet to take home too...
See what ya missed if you didn't make it
(or just let me know if you want a temple and I'll send you one!)

I call this Carbs Scmarbs
(dedicated to Kathy!!)

Hope you enjoyed the show this week!

One last bonus... you know I always try to do a Make n'Take for the gals...
and this time was no different.

I wanted them to get their hands on some product..
so using the new Envelope Framelits, the new Bow Gift Die,
and using just one sheet of Designer Series Paper to go home with
a great little matching set..
card, matching envelope and bow to go on top!

Think I'm gonna go nuts making all sorts of great matching sets..
makes it just too easy to do!

August SAS #7 & #8

2 - 4 - 6 - 8 ... who do we appreciate????  You guys!!!

Card #7 Tickets are all the rage these days.... and this one is no exception...

Using a variety of the Admit One tickets, each were puzzled onto the card for a unique design.

The matching ribbon helps hide any flaws
(did I say that outloud????)

Once again.. don't forget to peek inside...
you might find tickets to the theater or ballpark
that would make you SMILE!

Card #8 is what I call an "Envelope Card"...
cuz that's what I did, used the Envelope
 as part of the card.
It's embossed with the Mosaic embossing folder
and the "flap" removed.

Then just created a note card to slide inside...

See how the edge is torn ragged to
give it that elegant country look...
~ if ya believe that one I have some swamp land
in Florida you might be interested in!!

WaCkY for WaTerMeLoN !!

I love watermelon. How about you? So refreshing and good for you ~especially during these hot summer days! So who wouldn't love to make this adorable Watermelon card... or better yet, who would love to receive this adorable Watermelon card!!!

Found this on Debbie Henderson's blog.... and here's how she did it... Start out with a piece of Wild Wasabi Cardstock cut at 6" x 5 1/2" and folded in half on the 6" side. From the Oval Framelets packet, use the largest framelit which has scallops on the oval shape and cut through both layers, leaving the fold intact.

The 2nd step was to cut a half-oval using Whisper White Cardstock and the oval 2 sizes smaller. Glue to the front of your Wild Wasabi layer and trim to fit.

Step 3 uses the 2013-2015 In Color Pack Stack and cut a half-oval using the next size smaller than the white layer.

In order to make the watermelon seeds so that they would show up large enough, she used the Bird Punch and punched out a few leaves in Basic Black Cardstock and trimed off some of the leaf, then glued them in place. How cool is that? She created the bite at the top of the watermelon by using the 7/8 Scallop Circle Punch!

She made another single-layer watermelon and cut it up to get two wedges out of it and glued the two wedges to the front of the watermelon with Stampin' Dimensionals. She finished her card by adding a sentiment from the stamp set Sketched Birthday inked in StazOn Jet Black Ink and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies.

Now if that doesn't inspire you to go make a watermelon card, maybe it will at least  inspire you to go eat a watermelon!!

Have a wonderful refreshing weekend everyone!

A Hint of Garlic....

Forgot to show you guys the few little things I got our my Goofball trip.... little gifts to bring back to the boys....
A Braid of Garlic along with some Elephant Garlic
and of course the popular And's Garlic Rub....

For Jerry I of course got him a "Bubba" hat from Bubba Gumps...
found this awesome Triangle at a country store..
and take a look at the horse shoe shaped into a heart...
love it!

Yes ... I even got myself a gift.. couldn't resist this one....
I'll hang it in my guest bedroom.... maybe.

Now this last treasure was given to me as a gift from Martha...
and it really put the icing on the cake for me..
When we pulled into the driveway after our
400 mile drive home.. and everyone was pulling out
suitcases and packages... she hands me this
package which contained this plaque:

It just meant so much to me and really is so true!!!
Thanks Martha... you are so very special to me...
we had a blast and I'm ready to go again!

Another incredible Recipe

OK ... so here's yet another super duper easy recipe I want to share with you guys.... I hosted Bunco at my house this week and we had a blast as usual.... 16 crazy women (ok 15 and 1 ghost), hootin' and hollarin' to be the big winner of the evening... congrats to Melissa.walked away with the Most Buncos and 75 buckaroos in her pocket!

But I digress... the week before hand, had been trying to figure out what I wanted to make for dessert when my friend Carol shared this awesome recipe with me  (thanks Carol!).... not sure what to call it, so I named it Ice Cream Sandwich Casserole....

Here's what ya do... first you'll need 24 ice cream sandwiches... layer bottom of a 9x13 pan with 12 of the sandwiches:

Next take some Carmel sauce and drizzle it over the sandwiches:

Now layer the last 12 on top and
Add more Carmel sauce:

plus put on some Chocolate sauce:

Next smear some Cool Whip on top of that:

Then toast some pecans and sprinkle on top to finish it off!

Of course put it in the freezer for a couple hours:

Then remove a few minutes before you
want to serve it so it's easier to cut...
and voila... there you have it!

It's super duper rich.... but ahhh.. so good!
