Here's a different take on layers using the lace border punch. I love the look of it. So for this card, punch 3 of them and layer them on top of each other. 
The flower was done with the 1 3/4 inch circle punch. You need to punch 4 of them. To get the same look here, fold each circle in half, then in half again in the other direction. You should have an X, then just pinch in the two sides and you end up with the triangle. Add a Rich Razzleberry button with some linen thread and it's done.
You can always emboss the greeting in white to make it really pop!
