Origami Diamond Fold

Here's a unique technique.  It's called an Origami Diamond Fold card. LeeAnn Greff shared this on her blog... so thought you'd like to see how they're made... she actually got it from Wendy Weixler...

September Club origami fold

Here is a close up of two cards made for examples:

Sept origami pumpkin front

Sept origami wish big

Wanna see what they look like open???

Sept origami pumpkin

The butterfly and verse are from the stamp set called 'Butterfly Prints'.
The floral background is from Creative Elements.

The inside of this birthday card has this cute pennant stamp from Patterned Party.

To make this funky card, start with a 11" square of patterned paper folded in half.

Wendy made a wonderful video of it you can see here.

Sept origami half open

Can you see how it closes?  The two side flaps fold in first and then the top flap folds down and into the pocket behind the black and white butterfly piece.

I'll bet you'll go crazy making gobs of these now...
