Terry and Howard went to high school with Jerry so they've all know each other for EONS... they were kinda like the Three Muskateers I guess (or maybe it was the Three Stooges ... hee hee hee) .... anyways after high school Jerry went off to join the Navy and tour the world for awhile (ie Vietnam)... Terry and Howard got married and started their family... then years later when Jerry and I met, he introduced me to them and we all became great friends... As usual, time, raising kids, changing jobs, moving away and keeping busy with life's events kept us separate for awhile... but now the kids are grown, with kids of their own.... and as we all come to realize eventually it's those types of friends who are more like family that molded us, encouraged us, taught us, loved us, and meant too much to us that we should never forget nor neglect!
Ends up they live in Wildomar, just a little north of Holly and David... talk about a small world! We knew that actually but again let time and distance prevent us from doing anything about it. Terry was always good at sending Christmas Cards and writing letters to us... we'd on occasion talk on the phone and amazingly enough about 7 years ago, I even ran into Terry at a gas station in Temecula on my way back from the kid's wedding! Again, promising to "keep in touch"... did we? No.
But... all that is behind us now! We finally made it happen.... so this last Saturday they buzzed down to Poway and we had a blast... it was like not a day had past since we last spent time together! We spent six solid hours talking talking talking together and of course reminising and catching up on all we had missed... well maybe not all... but we have more time to do that too now!
We took them down to Old Town and went to Guadalajara's Mexican Restaurant cuz we knew we all loved Mexican food (some things NEVER change!!) ... plus it's such a great festive fun place to go.
