Weekly Wake Up Call - Gratitude & Giving

I think we're always telling our kids to be grateful and appreciate things... and to think about what you've been given or what you have... but we don't put this into practice enough ourselves.. and we should know better... at least I don't.

So this week, grab a note pad... something small enough you can even drop it in your purse to keep with you... But start a list of Gifts of Gratitude... whenever you can, jot down something that you are grateful or thankful for.... something might spur you to think... deeper than just material things... take some time to get to the heart of the matter!

Now don't hide the list.. go tell someone what you're grateful for! But don't stop there... put it into action too... show your gratitude for what you've been given by giving to someone who has nothing to show.... could be they have an empty home or empty pockets or empty bank account or empty hearts.......  Let's pay it forward!

Keep in mind the devastation last March in Japan, but more recently just this week in our our country in the Southern States with all the tornadoes and so many who not only lost their homes but their lives. Perhaps you can donate to American Red Cross, or HOPE Worldwide, or to your local community or to the homeless on the street corner.... maybe we can't all donate money, but we can donate our time, or our hearts, or our thoughts and our prayers.

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it
is like wrapping a present and not giving it."
